Question by Melodé: Goat Anatomy? What are the “lumps” on my Swiss Alpine Goats neck?
These “lumps” are not a abscess or something like that. They are just a feature of this particular breed (I don’t know of any other breeds that have these “lumps”). Why are they there and what are they called?
To describe them more accurately they are almost folds of skin that hang about 3 cm down, one on each side, from just under his chin by his throat.
People are ALWAYS asking me what they are and I really do not have anything to answer them with.
